Why I built SYA
Islam is one of the fastest growing religions in the world and when you find it, it is the most beautiful, peaceful and life changing experience. Islam means peace. The Ummah is our community. And it is something truly special.
But when I reverted, nobody tells you how overwhelming and scary it can feel. You have so many questions. You do not know who to ask. You feel alone, even in a room full of Muslims.
I built SYA because every revert deserves a safe space to breathe. To ask every question they have been too nervous to ask out loud. To connect with people who truly understand their story. To find their local community, discover events, build friendships and grow together in the beauty of Islam.
